Coutinho pens new Liverpool deal

Philippe Coutinho has put pen to paper on a new double your money five year contract with Liverpool, according to the Mirror.

The Brazil international moved to Anfield from Inter Milan in the summer of 2013, and has so far racked up eighty-one in all competitions, scoring ten goals.

He is now set to earn around £70,000 per week until his contract runs out at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

The 22 year old has been one of the stand out performers for Brendan Rodgers’ side so far this season, netting in the win at Queens Park Rangers in October and the 2-2 draw with Arsenal in December.

He has just five caps for Brazil, and was not part of the hosts’ World Cup squad last summer though has featured in four friendlies since.

Liverpool face Everton in the Merseyside derby on Saturday afternoon, and Coutinho is priced at 3/1 to score at anytime.
