Crystal Palace 9/5 to beat Stoke in Saturdays Premier League matchup

Competition: Premier League

Market: Crystal Palace to beat Stoke

Odds: 9/5 @ Bet365

Crystal Palace face a trip to Stoke knowing that one more win would effectively seal Premier League survival for another season.

For the Potters, although Stoke have recently improved their performances under former Wolves boss Paul Lambert, the Premier League strugglers have failed to pick up a substantial amount of points and relegation is looking more likely by the week. Coming off the back of three draws on the bounce, Stoke have failed to pick up a top-flight win in their last 12 attempts, a run stemming back to the middle of January. Along with collecting just two clean sheets in those 12 appearances, the Red and Whites hold the second worst defensive record in the division and have only managed to pick up one home win in 2018.

As for the visitors, although many believed that Crystal Palace were being dragged into a relegation battle, Palace are coming off the back of a season’s best result and are now unbeaten in their last four. Putting five past Leicester last weekend and scoring 10 in their last four, unsurprisingly, Palace’s recent change of form has come when talisman Wilfred Zaha has returned from injury. The 26-year-old winger now has four goals in his last four outings and is undoubtedly The Eagles player of the season. Now sat 11th in the table and holding a seven-point buffer over the relegation zone, a win on Saturday will secure their Premier League status with two games remaining.
