Ajax manager Frank de Boer has refused to admit defeat ahead of his side’s trip to Manchester United on Thursday.
The English Premier League outfit won the first leg of the round-of-32 Europa League tie 2-0 in the Netherlands last week and are expected to seal their progression with ease at Old Trafford.
But de Boer insists his team are not on a holiday in Manchester and that they can get a result.
“Obviously we are trying to get the result and we are not here just to see the sights,” De Boer said.
“Basel got a result against Manchester United in the Champions League and we can do the same. We will see after the game what the result will be.”
“The team is going to try to make it difficult for Manchester United and overall it is a great opportunity for our players to play this game.”
