Derby County sign Ashley Cole

Derby County have completed the signing of Ashley Cole, according to Sky Sports.

The former England international has joined up with former teammate Frank Lampard on a free transfer in a deal which will see him spend the remainder of the season with the East Midlands club.

Cole had been a free agent since leaving LA Galaxy at the end of their 2018 campaign having spent two years in MLS.

Prior to his switch to the US, Cole had a spell with Serie A side Roma, which followed eight years at Chelsea where with Lampard he won the Premier League, the League Cup, four FA Cups, the Europa League and the Champions League.

The thirty-eight-year old also won the Premier League twice with Arsenal, as well as picking up three FA Cups with the side with whom he began his career while he was capped one hundred and seven times by his country.
