Derby take Liverpool’s Ibe on loan

Derby County have completed the loan signing of Liverpool youngster Jordon Ibe, according to Sky Sports.

The eighteen year old will join up with the East Midlands outfit, who lost to Queens Park Rangers in last season’s play-off final, for the entirety of the 2014/15 campaign.

Since turning professional, the winger has made just three appearances for his parent club, with those outings bookended by loan spells first with Wycombe Wanderers and then Birmingham City, who he joined up with for the final months on last season.

He made eleven appearances for the Blues, scoring once and helping them to secure their Championship status on the final day of the campaign.

Ibe follows in the footsteps of Liverpool teammate Andre Wisdom, who spent a year with the Rams before moving to West Bromwich Albion on a temporary basis in the summer.

Derby sit seventh in the Championship after just four games, and are second favourites to win the division at 6/1.
