France coach Didier Deschamps expects Franck Ribery to play a part in his nation’s World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Spain.

The Bayern Munich winger picked up an ankle problem during a recent Bundesliga victory over Fortuna Dusseldorf.

The injury saw Ribery ruled out of games against Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen and cast doubt on his availability for the national team.

But Deschamps is confident that the 29-year-old will feature in Les Bleus’ upcoming games.

“Franck has resumed training,” Deschamps told Telefoot.

“We will take [him]. He has an ankle problem. It should not be a big concern.”

France face Georgia on Friday before meeting Spain four days later.
