The legendary Alfredo Di Stefano has donated 659 personal possessions to the Real Madrid museum.

The former Real star explained that he received offers from elsewhere for the memorabilia but felt that they belonged at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“I want the club’s members and just the fans in general to enjoy them,” Di Stefano told AS.

“The idea was mine and the club saw fit to accept them.”

“I just wanted to ensure that all of the objects were in good hands. I had other offers but turned them down and wanted to donate all of these memories to the club.”

Di Stefano, who was capped at international level by both Argentina and Spain, scored over 300 goals for Madrid in just under 400 appearances for the club.
