With the chance to extend their buffer in the top six, Doncaster will host a struggling Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night.

Starting with Tuesday’s hosts, while Doncaster may have slumped to a 2-0 loss away at promotion contenders Sunderland last weekend, Grant McCann’s side are enjoying a bright end to the season. Reclaiming their spot in the playoffs and winning their previous four outings prior to Saturday’s defeats, a huge part in the Dons’ resurge has been their continued performances at The Keepmoat Stadium. Winning their last three matches in South Yorkshire and scoring two or more goals in each of those victories, Doncaster are now unbeaten in their last 13 matches on home soil.

As for the visitors, suffering a 3-0 hammering at home to league leaders Luton, Accrington Stanley find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap. Holding just a two-point buffer from slipping into the bottom three and recording just one victory since the 12th of March, a huge part of Stanley’s continued struggle has come down to their performances away from the Wham Stadium. John Coleman’s side have picked up just one victory on the road in their last nine attempts and have recorded just one clean sheet outside of Lancashire in 2019. Given the recent gulf in class between the two sides, we’re backing Doncaster to come away with the three points on Tuesday.
