Heerenveen booked their spot in the semi-finals of the Dutch Cup with a 2-1 win over Vitesse on Tuesday.

Ron Jans’ side had to come from behind to reach the last four though as they scored twice in the last 25 minutes to win.

Belgian Stanley Aborah scored four minutes before half-time for Vitesse to delight the home fans in Arnhem.

But Heerenveen responded strongly after the break and equalised through Viktor Elm on 67 minutes.

The visitors struck the winner with 19 minutes left as Bas Dost netted his 12th goal in his last seven matches.
