Eduardo says no truth in Fulham rumours

Talk Sport are today reporting that Croatian striker Eduardo insists that he has not heard anything from Fulham after rumours that the London club are keen to sign him.

Eduardo, who of course has had a spell in the English Premier League with Arsenal, has been plagued by injuries throughout his career but Martin Jol may be willing to take a risk on him.

It did not seem as though the Cottagers were lacking attacking options in their opening fixture of the season though as they thrashed Norwich 5-0.

Despite that victory, they are still being linked with the 29-year-old, who is currently at Shakhtar Donetsk, but he has stated that nothing has been spoken about yet.

He said: No-one else has contacted me or asked for an opinion. You know how it goes with transfers, I learned that even at Dinamo (Zagreb).

“Of course it’s nice to hear that I’m mentioned in England, especially if there’s Premier League interest.”

Even though Eduardo has had his injury problems, few would argue that he is a top quality finisher and Fulham could still make a move on the striker.

It is being suggested that if they did want to sign him, it would take a fee around £7 million. With not much time left in the transfer market, Jol may make a move quickly.

With the Croatian international admitting he loves the English top flight, a few more clubs could step up their interest.
