Emanuelson: A new Milan will be born

Urby Emanuelson believes the departures of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva will not affect AC Milan’s ambitions for silverware.

The pair were both sold to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain and the Dutch utility admitted that the departures are a blow for Milan.

But the 26-year-old is confident that quality replacements will be brought in before the 2012/13 season begins.

“It is difficult to digest Ibra and Thiago leaving, but now a new Milan will be born,” Emanuelson told Milan’s official website.

“This team must always play to win even without them. The club will think about bringing in new players.”

Emanuelson – who made 30 Serie A appearances in 2011/12 – also spoke of his determination to do well at Milan in the future.
