England 10/11 to beat Montenegro to nil in Monday’s EURO qualifier

Competition: EURO Qualifiers

Market: England win to nil

Odds: 10/11 @ Bet 365

Looking to make it two wins out of two, Gareth Southgate’s side will travel to the Stadion Pod Goricom on Monday to face a struggling Montenegro side.

Starting with the hosts, while a controversial penalty may have seen Montenegro only take a point off of Bulgaria on Friday, it does not cover what has been a very poor run of form. Failing to book their spot out in Russia last summer, Ljubiša Tumbaković’s side have now recorded just two victories since September 2017, a 13-match run. Also having to settle for a third-place finish in the inaugural UEFA Nations League, fans around the Stadion Pod Goricom will be growing more concerned by their form on home soil. Montenegro have lost three of their last four home matches and failed to register a single goal in any of those defeats.

As for the visitors, putting in another dominant display in their 5-0 hammering over the Czech Republic on Friday, the mood in Gareth Southgate’s camp couldn’t be any higher. Enjoying a four-match winning run and yet to lose a single contest since their exploits at the World Cup last summer, the Three Lions have begun to show some real defensive stability. Now keeping a clean sheet in four of their last six and scoring 10 in just their last three appearances, Monday’s visitors should be extremely confident of extending their buffer at the top of Group A.
