Looking to get their Group C campaign off to a flying start, the Three Lions will face France in Cesena on Tuesday night.

Starting with Aidy Boothroyd’s young Lions side, despite suffering a 2-1 loss against Germany in their final contest before opening their Group C campaign, the mood in England’s camp will be on a high. Boasting a squad that is glittering with Premier League starlets, a huge part of their impressive run has come thanks to their form outside of Britain. Including putting in a dominant display in their 5-1 victory away in Denmark back in November, England are enjoying a six-match winning run on the road and have not tasted defeat on their travels since way back in March 2017.

As for the visitors, while England might be heading to the European Championships filled with confidence, France are enduring a worrying blip. Convincingly beaten 3-1 away in Austria last week, Les Bleus have picked up just a single win since October and Head Coach Sylvain Ripoll has a real headache heading into their Group C opener. Given France’s worrying run of form heading into their trip to Italy in midweek, we’re backing a high-flying England to get off to a winning start when the two nations face off in Cesena on Tuesday night.
