Eindhoven bounced back from a shock loss to Feyenoord with a 2-0 victory over VVV Venlo, while Ajax accounted for Twente by the same score.

Memphis Depay and Mark van Bommel found the net for Eindhoven, who scored their 80th goal of the season in just 25 matches.

Depay opened the scoring in the third minute, while van Bommel sealed the win as Venlo went in search of a late equaliser.

Goals from Niklas Moisander and Toby Alderweireld proved the difference for Ajax, who made amends for a 1-1 draw with ADO Den Haag.

Moisander broke the deadlock in the fourth minute, before Alderweireld doubled the advantage on 35 minutes.

Ajax remain two points behind Eindhoven, while Twente – winless in seven matches – slumped to their second straight loss.

Meanwhile, goals from Arsenio Valpoort and Mateusz Klich guided PEC Zwolle to a 2-0 win against Willem II.

Alfredh Finnbogason struck a match-winning brace as Heerenveen came from behind to beat NAC Breda 2-1.
