Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o preferred to focus on the team performance after their 5-0 victory over Almeria.

The Catalans scored all five goals before the 40-minute mark.

“Without the team I am nobody. That is what should be emphasised, not my three goals,” Eto’o told Sport. “I am not playing to be Pichichi, but for my team-mates.

“It is more important that the whole team is motivated. If we from the first minute to the last then we can cause the opposition a lot of problems.

“I like to press and to keep pressing, but I do it because we all do it.”

“The two injuries that I suffered are things that happen and they were serious and meant that I took some time to rediscover my rhtyhm,” he continued.

“My aim now is not to be like I was before, but to be even better, I think we should all think about improving all the team. That is the only way you can continue playing at the level required by Barça.”
