Everton have confirmed the signing of Arouna Kone on a three-year-deal.
The Ivorian striker joins from Wigan Athletic, following manager Roberton Martinez to Goodison Park.
Kone had also been linked with a move to Newcastle, but has elected to move to Merseyside, joining Everton for an undisclosed fee.
The 29-year-old made 38 appearances for Wigan last term, helping to them to win the first major trophy in their history as they beat Manchester City to secure the FA Cup.
However, despite netting 13 goals, he could not prevent Wigan from succumbing to relegation from the Premier League.
