Tottenham Hotspur want West Ham United defender Ben Johnson

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Ben Johnson in the summer transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The report has claimed that Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou is looking for a new full-back, and that Spurs have Johnson on their radar.

The report has claimed that former Tottenham defender Ledley King has recommended Spurs to sign Johnson, who also happens to be his cousin. Johnson is a very versatile player who can operate as a centre-back, right-back and left-back. The 24-year-old English defender is out of contract at West Ham United at the end of the season, and Tottenham are keen on securing his services on a free transfer.

Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 53 points from 28 matches, three points behind Aston Villa, who are fourth and have played 29 games. West Ham United are currently seventh with 44 points from 29 games.
