Everton keen on Barcelona’s forgotten forward Alcacer

When you are behind Luis Suarez in the pecking order it can be hard to get a look in, and that is exactly the case for Barcelona forward Paco Alcacer. The forward is yet to start a Liga game for the Catalan super club this season, and has featured just six times from the bench.

Thankfully for the Spaniard, who cost £26m from Valencia, Premier League side Everton are in desperate need of a striker, and they have turned their attention to Alcacer, according to the Mail.

The Toffees find themselves down in 10th place in the table after 15 games, and have scored just 19 times this season, while conceding 28 goals. The sale of star striker Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United in the summer has severely blunted their attack, and the addition of Alcacer would do wonders for the Merseyside club.

Sam Allardyce was recently drafted in to stop Everton from slipping too far down the table, but Big Sam will need to get his side scoring goals again if they are going to get their form trending in the right direction.
