Non-league outfit Cambridge City earned a first-round FA Cup replay after battling to a scoreless draw against MK Dons on Friday.
Despite Stephen Gleeson and Luke Chadwick both hitting the post, Cambridge held on for a draw and will now make the trip to Stadium MK.
As expected, the League One side enjoyed huge spells of possession but it was Cambridge who came closest to hitting the front.
Craig Hammond, the club’s leading goalscorer with 17 goals this season, unleashed a strike on goal but it was directed straight at MK Dons goalkeeper David Martin.
That was the only real opportunity for the Southern Premier League team as the visitors took a stranglehold of the FA Cup clash.
But MK Dons, who introduced former Leeds attacker Alan Smith late on, could not convert their dominance as goalkeeper Zac Barrett and his Cambridge team-mates held firm for a famous result.
