February 4th: Saturday’s Premier League Accumulator – 9/1

With the Premier League making its return this weekend, we have a heavyweight schedule on our hands. So, for those of you looking to place a Saturday acca, we have found a trio of interesting fixtures that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Saturday February 4th

BST 12:30 Everton vs Arsenal

While Arsenal might have seen their FA Cup adventure come to an abrupt end at the Etihad last weekend, the Gunners are enjoying what has been a history-making campaign in north London. Only continuing on a remarkable Premier League flurry this season, Mikel Arteta’s youngsters find themselves holding a five-point buffer at the top of the table. Sat in pole position to claim a first domestic crown since 2004, Saturday’s guests have only continued to gain a string of plaudits. Suffering just a single Premier League defeat as they open February, Arsenal also cruised their way to the knockout stage of this year’s Europa League. With the mood in Arteta’s young camp at a red-hot high, the Gunners should be smelling the chance to lay down another title marker here. Last seen in top-flight action claiming that last-gasp 3-2 victory against Manchester United, the north London giants will be looking to cash in on an Everton side who are enduring a rather public Premier League nightmare. While Saturday’s hosts might have appointed ex-Burnley boss Sean Dyche earlier in the week, the Blues are tipped as a leading relegation contender in 2023. Last seen putting in another downbeat display as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat away at West Ham, Everton have now lost each of their last four straight appearances. Without a single domestic win to their name since way back in October, we’re backing a fairly routine away victory here.

Tip: Arsenal win & Under 4.5 goals @ 8/11

15:00 Brighton vs Bournemouth

Although Brighton might have been disappointed after watching Graham Potter make the move to Chelsea back in September, the Seagulls are enjoying a remarkable start to life under Roberto De Zerbi. Last seen putting in another stellar display as they snatched a last-gasp 2-1 victory against Liverpool while on FA Cup duties, Saturday’s hosts are riding quite the wave of momentum. Now with their sights firmly set on clinching a famous European finish in 2023, the one-time Sassuolo boss has only seen his side continue to impress since returning from the World Cup break. Unbeaten in each of their last five straight matchups across all formats, Brighton also have one attacking talisman who is enjoying quite the purple patch. Bagging the winner against Liverpool last weekend, 25-year-old sensation Kaoru Mitoma has scored in four of his last five meetings against Premier League opposition. With his stock at a red-hot high, Mitoma should be relishing Bournemouth’s arrival on Saturday afternoon. While the Cherries might have been last seen snatching a 1-1 draw at home against Nottingham Forest, it doesn’t cover what has been a woeful run of form. In fact, along with crashing out of the FA Cup last month following a 4-2 loss at the hands of Championship outfit Burnley, Gary O’Neil’s men are in the midst of a seven-match winless run. Likewise, it should also be highlighted, the Premier League relegation scrappers have collected just a single point from their previous six showdowns.

Tip: Kaoru Mitoma to score anytime @ 7/4

17:30 Newcastle vs West Ham

Booking their spot in the final of this season’s EFL Cup after clinching a 3-1 aggregate victory against Southampton in midweek, Newcastle are enjoying a famous purple patch in the north east. While Eddie Howe’s side might have simply been in a battle to extend on their Premier League status last season, the former Bournemouth boss now finds his side sat in pole position to claim a top-four finish. Continuing to gain a string of plaudits from across England on either side of the World Cup break, the Magpies have lost just a single Premier League contest so far. Opening February with the mood around St. James’ Park the highest it has been in recent memory, Newcastle will be looking to lay down another marker here. Gaining a fearsome reputation for their rugged displays at the back, it should be noted that Howe’s high-flying squad have shipped just 11 top-flight strikes this season. Likewise, unbeaten on home soil since way back in April, Saturday’s hosts should be smelling a real chance here. Although the Hammers might have extended on their FA Cup adventure earlier in the week thanks to a 2-0 victory away at League One outfit Derby, David Moyes’ men are at the heart of a relegation scrap. Claiming just a single Premier League victory away from the London Stadium, the former Manchester United boss will know that his side faces a huge challenge this weekend. Two sides who find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of the table, we’re backing what could be an enjoyable home win.

Tip: Newcastle win & Over 1.5 goals @ 6/5
