Forest face competition in race for Hunt

Championship promotion hopefuls Nottingham Forest face competition in the race to secure the services of Crystal Palace defender Jack Hunt on a permanent deal, according to Sky Sports.

The full-back has impressed on loan with the East Midlands club so far this season, appearing in all eleven of their league games so far and helping them maintain an unbeaten start to the campaign.

The 23 year old moved to Selhurst Park last September, but is yet to feature for the club having spent the first four months of his time with the Eagles side-lined with an ankle injury.

He spent the second half of last season on loan with Barnsley, before moving to the City Ground in the summer.

Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has said that several other clubs have expressed an interest in signing Hunt when the transfer window reopens, and that a number of bids are on the table.
