Fuchs set to stay at Leicester

According to a report from Sky Sports, Leicester City have informed Aston Villa that Christian Fuchs will not be leaving the club during the January transfer window after all. The Midlands side reportedly made an approach over the possibility of securing a loan for the 32 year old defender, but the Foxes are eager to keep him on the books until at least the end of the season. One of the primary reasons for that is because he’s their only main form of cover when it comes to left wing backs, which is a position that currently occupied by Ben Chilwell. Fuchs has been at the King Power Stadium since back in 2015, when he made the jump over from Schalke. The Austrian international, who played for his country for a decade between 2006 and 2016, is heading towards the final stages of his storied career and seems to want to spend them with Leicester.
