Fulham wants Alex Buttner

Daily Mirror is reporting that Fulham are considering a January bid for Manchester United defender Alexander Buttner.

David Moyes does not seem to be a big fan of the Dutch defender, and chances are he will allow him to leave in January.

According to Daily Mirror, Fulham are prepared to offer the 24-year-old an escape route from Old Trafford as they are pondering a six-month loan.

New Cottagers boss Rene Meulensteen does not appear to have been too impressed by his current options on the left flank that include John Arne Riise and Kieran Richardson, and he seems to have set his sights on the former Vitesse full-back.

Alexander Buttner has only made one Premier League start since David Moyes took over the reigns, while making another substitute appearance in the league.

His official representative earlier suggested that Serie A sides Roma and Genoa were keeping close tabs on the player.
