Adriano Galliani believes that AC Milan have the quality to compete with any team in the Serie A.
The San Siro outfit struggled to find their best form in the opening months of the 2012/13 season, but have been in fine form recently as they aim to qualify for next year’s edition of the Champions League.
“I think we are doing even better now than when we had much more resources to call on. We had a tough period at the start but this team can compete with anyone in Serie A,” the club CEO told reporters.
“We are doing well. We are the best team in the last 14 games. On one hand, it is great to see how well we are doing, on the other hand, there’s the bitterness for how we started.
“If we could restart the campaign from now, we would get a Champions League spot for sure but as things are we are six points off. That is still the objective, though.
“We have a good team and we’re on an average of 80 points per year. But we are still behind the other teams and the problem with that is that you cannot afford to lose.”
Milan sit fifth on the table with 37 points from 22 games.
