World Cup winners Germany are confident of getting their Euro 2016 qualifiers back on track with a win against the Republic of Ireland tonight. The Eagles recently lost to Poland, but did pick up three points in their opening game against Scotland – winning 2-1 at home.

Republic of Ireland have enjoyed a dream start in their qualifying group, winning both of their games against Georgia and Gibraltar. However, they face their biggest test coming up against the World Cup winners tonight.

Germany, while not at their best, still boast a very strong squad capable of beating most nations. They have a manager committed to taking his recent success to the European Championship with players as hungry as ever to ensure they remain the top nation.

After losing to Poland, manager Joachim Low won’t allow his side to drop more points in their pursuit for automatic qualification. The Republic of Ireland would take a point, but may have to settle for less.
