(GSM) – Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to finalize a deal for Eidur Gudjohnsen. The Iceland international helped Spurs clinch a place in the UEFA Champions League after moving to White Hart Lane on loan in the winter transfer window.

The 31-year-old Monaco forward seems to have convinced Spurs boss Harry Redknapp to offer him a long-term deal.

Gudjohnsen has already played in the Premier League, scoring 78 times in 177 games for Premier League holders Chelsea before leaving Stamford Bridge in 2006 to join Barcelona.
