Gunners leading Fabregas chase

Premier League leaders Arsenal have been installed as the favourites to sign Bareclona’s Cesc Fabregas, the Daily Star understands.

The Gunners were linked with a move for their former captain during the summer, though it was Manchester United that seemed his most likely destination.

Nevertheless, the Spain international remained at the Nou Camp, where he has scored twice in ten appearances so far this season, including the winner at Celtic Park on Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile, the 26 year old has backed Mesut Ozil to shine at his former club.

Ozil moved to the Emirates last month, and has helped his new side to victory in each of his five appearances so far, he too scoring in the Champions League two days ago to open his account for the club.

The former Real Madrid man is priced at 11/5 to get on the score-sheet on Sunday afternoon, when Arsene Wenger’s men take their winning run to West Bromwich Albion.
