Haaland prefers Real Madrid move

According to Goal.com, Erling Haaland has informed his representatives that his preferred destination next summer, should he leave Borussia Dortmund, is Real Madrid. However, no final decision has been made as of yet.

The 21-year-old striker is widely considered among the hottest prospects of world football, and with a €75 million release clause in his contract kicking in at the end of the season, there will be plenty of interest from clubs across Europe. Dortmund officials have recently expressed hope he would be staying put and possibly even sign a new contract, but the fact that the Bundesliga side have crashed out of the Champions League won’t be doing them any favours in that aspect.

Real Madrid have been credited with strong interest in the Norwegian for a long time, with president Florentino Perez apparently planning to establish another ‘Galactico’ era at the club. Another piece of that puzzle for Los Blancos would be Kylian Mbappe, whose contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires next summer.
