Looking to build off of their eye-catching result over the weekend, Hartlepool will make the trip to a struggling Edgeley Park on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, putting in yet another toothless display in their 0-0 stalemate away at Sutton over the weekend, Stockport have continued to embark on a very worrying start to the new campaign. Now losing five of their last six outings and failing to record a single victory since the 3rd of September, there is no doubt that fans around Greater Manchester will have growing concerns by their side’s form in the final third. With only fellow strugglers Aldershot recording fewer goals heading into October, Jim Gannon’s men have now failed to find the net in each of their last fifth-tier outings.

As for the visitors, putting in a season-best display and snatching a dramatic 2-1 win over leading promotion contenders Yeovil last weekend, the mood in Durham should be on the rise. Now enjoying a three-match unbeaten run and also taking points off of Chesterfield and Eastleigh on that run, there is no doubt that Head Coach Craig Hignett will be most impressed by his side’s performances away from the Super 6 Stadium. Wednesday’s guests have lost just one of their last six matches on the road, a run that stems back to the opening weekend.
