Hodgson to sell Mascherano – The Mirror

(GSM) – Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is ready to sell Javier Mascherano, according to the Mirror.

Mascherano has been linked with a move to Internazionale which should see him reunite with former Reds’ boss Rafa Benitez.

After refusing to commit his future to the club, Mascherano is set to complete what his agent said would be a “dream” move to Internazionale.

However, the major hindrance could be Liverpool’s £30million valuation of the Argentina skipper with Internazionale yet to match the fee.

Meanwhile Hodgson says he will be patient in the transfer market despite the fact that Liverpool’s first game against Rabotnicki is just five days away.

“I don’t think deadlines are realistic,” he said. “It takes time to get the people you want and the most important thing is getting the people you want. If you can do it quickly that’s great because you have them in, but if it takes time, you take time.”

On the other hand, Liverpool are tipped to move for Juventus’ Christian Poulsen and Internazionale’s Sulley Muntari.

Furthermore, the sales of Emiliano Insua and Fabio Aurelio have left Hodgson in-search for two left-backs with Manchester City’s Wayne Bridge, Wigan Athletic’s Maynor Figueroa and PSV’s Carlos Salcido among those linked with a switch to Anfield.
