Market: Houston Dynamo double chance
Odds: 2/3 @ 888sport
Hoping to cash in on their recent purple patch in midweek, Houston Dynamo will make the trip to what is a struggling Colorado in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Starting with the hosts, while Colorado might have managed to grab what was a last-gasp equalizer away against San Jose over the weekend, Robin Fraser’s men have drastically struggled to find their feet since returning from the enforced break. Managing to pick up just a single point in what was a sluggish display in the MLS is Back tournament, the Rapids also marked their return to Western Conference duties with a 4-1 hammering at home against Real Salt Lake last month. Now failing to win any of their six matchups since the restart and continuing to show their glaring issues at the back, Colorado might also be worried by their recent record against Thursday’s guests. Including another 4-1 defeat when Houston last came to town, Fraser’s side have failed to win any of their last four meetings against the Dynamo’s.
As for the visitors, while Colorado might be drastically struggling since making a return to action, Houston have continued to impress and find themselves skyrocketing up the Western Conference. Putting in another eye-catching display over the weekend and picking up a 2-1 win at home against league leaders Sporting Kansas City, a result that many around Texas are billing as a season-best display, Tab Ramos’ men have won each of their last three contests on the bounce and find the mood in their camp at a real high. Also shocking many with their 5-2 romp away at Kansas in the reverse fixture last month, it is no surprise that Houston have a real reputation for their recent displays in the final third. Now unbeaten in their last five matchups across all formats, don’t be surprised to see the Dynamo’s cash in on their purple patch in midweek.
