Inter to make a check on Soriano

Inter Milan are hot on the trail of Sampdoria midfielder Roberto Soriano, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri are expected to reinforce the squad in the winter and the 23-year-old midfielder is high on their wish list.

Inter will have a perfect opportunity to make a check on Soriano when the two sides square off at Giuseppe Meazza tomorrow evening, with home win paying 4/5.

Roberto Soriano was born in Germany and went through the youth ranks at Bayern Munich before joining Sampdoria in 2009.

He quickly developed into an important player for the Bluecerchiati and has so far made 76 league appearances for the club, scoring 6 goals.

The midfielder has a contract until June 2017 at Marassi and has been linked with Valencia in the past.

Soriano is just one of several Italian footballers Inter are keeping tabs on, with Fabio Borini, Matteo Darmian, Daniele Baselli and Davide Zapacosta also on their radar.
