Market: Inter Miami double chance
Odds: 7/10 @ 888sport
Smelling the chance to extend on their recent purple patch in the early hours of Wednesday, a high-flying Inter Miami will make the trip to Toronto in midweek.
Starting with the hosts, while Toronto might have managed to land themselves a silver medal finish in the Eastern Conference last season, the Reds are in the midst of an MLS nightmare. Putting in what was another hugely worrying display over the weekend, Javier Pérez’s side were hit with a dreadful 2-0 defeat away at Cincinnati and the pressure is reaching a boiling point. Sat rock-bottom of the table and with that gap only growing by the week, Toronto are enduring a five-match losing run and they have gained a reputation for their rather glaring problems at the back. Without a win to their name in any of their last eight straight contests, a run that stems all the way back to July 2tth, Wednesday’s hosts should also be worried by their last meeting against Miami. When the two sides faced off last month, Pérez’s side were hit with a deserved 3-1 drumming.
As for the visitors, while Toronto might find themselves in the midst of a real nightmare, the same cannot be said for a high-flying Inter Miami squad. Despite really struggling to find their feet initially under Head Coach Phil Neville, the Herons are now enjoying what has become a very eye-catching purple patch. Skyrocketing their way up the Eastern Conference standings and with their sights now set on landing a Final Series spot, the former Manchester United defender was once again filled with praise for his side’s display over the weekend. Picking up a 1-0 victory against Columbus Crew on home soil, Miami have collected 13 points from just their last five MLS matchups. Cruising their way to that 3-1 win when they welcomed Toronto to the DRV PNK Stadium last month, a double chance here appear at attractive odds.
