With the chance to jump up to third in the Serie A table and close the gap on Flamengo, Internacional will welcome a drastically struggling Ceara side to Estádio José Pinheiro Borda on Tuesday.

Starting with former Brazil U’23’s boss Odair Hellmann, although few expected The Red Union to mount a title push after jumping back up to the Serie A this season, Internacional are now coming off the back of a 2-2 draw with Atlético PR last week, The Reds now have the chance to jump up to third in the table and their form in the final third will be impressing Hellmann. Now on a nine-match unbeaten run and yet to lose any home match since the start of March, International have now found the net seven times in their last three outings. Given the gulf in class between the two side, we’re backing The Reds to put on another eye-catching performance on Tuesday.

As for Ceara, although the visitors are coming off the back of a 1-0 win over Sport Recife last time out and collecting their first win of the season, Lisca’s side still sit rock bottom of the Serie A table and are now six points adrift of safety. Although they have now managed to keep two clean sheets on the bounce, it will be their form in the final third that will be the biggest cause for concern. Now finding the net just once in their last three, Ceara also have no player who has recorded more than two goals this season.
