Two sides enduring very different ends to the Championship campaign, promotion hopefuls Inverness will travel to Cappielow Park on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, slumping to a 2-1 loss at home to Alloa last time out, many around Cappielow Park are fearing the worst this season. Holding just a one-point buffer from slipping into the relegation playoff position, Jonatan Johansson has really seen his side start to struggle at the end of the campaign. Remarkably picking up just one victory since the 4th of January, a huge part of Morton’s issues this season has been their continued problems at the back. Holding the worst defensive record in Scotland’s second-tier, Tuesday’s hosts have recorded just two clean sheets in 2019.

As for the visitors, while a 3-0 loss away at Hearts may have seen their FA Cup dream come to an end this year, Inverness have their sights firmly set on securing a Premiership return this season. Taking a 1-0 win off of fellow playoff contenders Ayr in their last Championship outing, John Robertson’s side have the chance to book their spot in the top four with another victory on Tuesday. Picking up four wins in their last six and only tasting defeat once since the back end of February, Inverness have also continued to shine on the road this season. Robertson’s side have won their last three matches away from Caledonian and also picked up a 2-1 win on their last trip to Morton.
