Italy international made available for sale

Serie A side Torino have revealed they could cash in on star defender Angelo Ogbonna next summer.

The 24-year-old is one of the most sought-after players in Europe and he was heavily linked with a summer switch to local rivals Juventus.

The Bianconeri even admitted interest in the Italy international, but Torino ultimately decided to hold on to their prized asset for another season.

However, sporting director Gianluca Petrachi confesses that the centre-back could be sold in a year’s time.

“We didn’t plan to lose him,” Petrachi explained to Radio Sportiva. “We’ll assess the situation again in June.

“If a top club did come close to him then we wouldn’t clip his wings.”

Angelo Ogbonna is regarded as one of the best centre-backs in Italy, and already has 5 Azzurri caps to his name.

The talented defender has spent his entire career at Torino, scoring 1 goal in 127 league appearances for the club.
