Jamie Vardy 11/10 to score anytime against Southampton in Friday’s Premier League contest

Competition: Premier League

Market: Jamie Vardy to score anytime

Odds: 11/10 @ Bet 365

Handed the chance to briefly leapfrog Manchester City, a high-flying Leicester will make the trip to relegation scrappers Southampton on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Southampton may have snatched an extremely flattering point at Molineux over the weekend, the Saints have continued on what is becoming an extended rut. Failing to win any of their last four Premier League matchups and with only their goal difference keeping them out of the relegation zone, the pressure is really starting to mount on Head Coach Ralph Hasenhüttl. A huge part of their continued issues since opening the new campaign have come down to some woeful displays on home soil. Including a 4-1 hammering against Chelsea in their last appearance on the South Coast, Southampton have now failed to win any of their last six top-flight matches at St. Mary’s.

As for the visitors, returning from the international break with a 2-1 win over Burnley, the mood in Brendan Rodgers’ camp only continues to soar. Handed the chance to climb up to second and leapfrog Manchester City, the former Celtic boss has his sights firmly set on securing a top-six finish. One man who has continued to spearhead Leciester’s European charge has been attacking talisman, Jamie Vardy. Finding the net against Burnley last time out, the former England international has three Premier League goals in his last three outings and should be confident of extending that tally on Friday.
