January 30th: Tuesday’s Premier League Double – 4/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

With the Premier League taking centre stage in midweek, Tuesday offers a host of intriguing battles from both ends of the table.

On a Tuesday schedule that is highlighted by Newcastle’s trip to Aston Villa, we have found a couple of noteworthy Premier League betting markets that are worth keeping an eye out for.

19:45 Luton vs Brighton

Extending on their FA Cup adventure last weekend as they secured an action-packed 5-2 victory away at Sheffield United, Brighton will certainly be calling on a repeat display here. Once again impressing this season under the guidance of Roberto De Zerbi, the Seagulls are dreaming of the chance to mount another top-six finish this season.

Signing off 2023 with a stunning display at the Amex as they picked up a 4-2 win against Champions League chasers Tottenham, the former Sassuolo boss has seen his squad lose just one of their previous 10 appearances across all competitions.

Breezing their way to a Europa League knockout stage ticket last month, Brighton will be calling on attacking talisman Joao Pedro to spearhead their charge on Tuesday night.

Bagging a stellar FA Cup hat-trick away at Bramall Lane over the weekend, the ex-Watford star has now notched seven strikes in his last five domestic showdowns across all fronts.

On the flip side, although Luton might still find themselves at the heart of a Premier League title scrap this season, Rob Edwards’ side have gained plenty of admirers for their rugged approach.

Extending on their own FA Cup run last weekend as they snatched a last-gasp 2-1 victory away at Everton, the Hatters will now be desperate to find some crucial stability on home soil.

Signing off 2023 with an action-packed 3-2 defeat against Chelsea, the one-time Forest Green boss has seen his side win just a pair of their previous 11 showdowns at Kenilworth Road.

Likewise, hit with a 4-1 defeat when they travelled to the Amex for their reverse Premier League showdown against Brighton on August 12th, Luton will be bracing themselves for a real challenge in Bedfordshire.

20:15 Aston Villa vs Newcastle

Although Aston Villa might have eventually been forced to settle for an FA Cup replay away at Chelsea last weekend, Unai Emery’s men are enjoying a real fairytale this season. Only continuing to receive a string of plaudits, it is no secret that Tuesday’s hosts are dreaming of the chance to claim a famous Champions League ticket in 2024.

Signing off 2023 with an action-packed 3-2 victory against relegation scrappers Burnley, the one-time Arsenal boss has seen his high-flying squad gain a reputation for their extended purple patch on home soil.

Including a 1-0 victory against title hopefuls Arsenal on December 9th, it should be noted that Aston Villa have remarkably collected 49 points from their last 17 straight Premier League showdowns in the Midlands.

Likewise, losing just one of their previous 15 appearances across all competitions, Emery’s side will be desperate to extend their buffer in the top-four chase here.

With Newcastle claiming a much-welcomed FA Cup boost away at Fulham last weekend as they secured a 2-0 victory, the Magpies will be desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on.

However, with continued speculation that the ex-Bournemouth boss has mounting pressure on his shoulders at St. James’ Park, Tuesday’s guests have lost eight of their previous 11 appearances across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to December 2nd.

Facing what will be a tough trip to Villa Park in midweek, Howe will also have a real headache over his side’s extended Premier League struggles on the road.

In fact, Newcastle have lost all of their last five top-flight contests away from St. James’ Park by an aggregate score of 14-3.
