Joe Allen on West Ham radar for January move

West Ham have long been a side that many people believe can challenge nearer the top of the Premier League than the bottom, but this season they have been having somewhat of a nightmare. New manager David Moyes has done well to deliver a few good results since taking over, but some January purchases will be required to keep the Hammers in the top flight.

With just one point currently separating the London club from the drop zone, Moyes will be looking to bolster all parts of his squad, but midfield seems to be at the top of his list. According to the Mirror, Stoke maestro Joe Allen could be the man to aid West Ham in their quest for survivial.

The Welsh Pirlo, as he has come to be known, has flourished in the number ten role for the Potters. Allen has started all but one of Stoke’s Premier League games so far in this campaign, and has delivered a goal and four assists.
