Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar is still suffering from his country’s World Cup elimination by the Netherlands last July.

In an interview with Sportv, Julio Cesar spoke about his team’s World Cup exit after losing 1-2 to the Dutch in the quarter finals.

“Even now, when I lie down and put my head on the pillow, I regret it. I still get emotional and sad, because I believe we had everything to win the World Cup,” he said.

The keeper went on to unveil that he needed teammate Lucio’s help to get out of the house after refusing to go outside for about one week.

“I would not go out for anything. I just didn’t want to see anyone.”

Brazil played three friendly matches since the World Cup but Julio Cesar appeared in none, with Victor taking his place between the posts.
