July 16th: Sunday’s MLS Accumulator – 10/1

With the MLS taking center stage this weekend, we have a stacked schedule from across the USA in the early hours of Sunday. So, for those of you looking to place a weekend acca, we have found a trio of helpful MLS tips that can offer a great return for your bet.

Sunday July 16th

BST 00:30 Cincinnati vs Nashville

Mounting a stunning comeback away at the Red Bulls earlier in the week as they snatched a 2-1 victory, Cincinnati have only continued on a remarkable MLS romp this season. Holding a commanding eight-point buffer at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, Pat Noonan’s men should be smelling the chance to widen their buffer over the chasing pack here. Suffering just a single loss from any of their last 18 straight domestic appearances across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to April 15th, the Garys are riding what has been a famous wave of momentum. Punching their US Open Cup semi-final ticket last month after breezing their way to a 3-1 romp against USL outfit Pittsburgh, Sunday’s hosts have also continued to gain a reputation for their extended success on home soil. Yet to taste a single domestic defeat in Ohio since opening the 2023 campaign, Cincinnati should be relishing Nashville’s arrival this weekend. While Gary Smith’s men might also be battling it out at the top of the Eastern Conference table, the Coyotes have shown a string of issues on either side of June’s international break. Last seen putting in another worrying performance in Tennessee as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Philadelphia, Sunday’s guests have now lost three of their last four MLS appearances. Hit with a 1-0 loss when they welcomed Cincinnati to Geodis Park back in March, we are expecting a similar outcome here.

Tip: Cincinnati win & Under 4.5 goals @ 13/10

00:30 Philadelphia Union vs New York City

Making a welcomed return to winning ways earlier in the week as they claimed a deserved 2-0 victory away at Nashville, Philadelphia will be looking to use that performance as a platform to build on. Picking up just their second win since returning from June’s international break, Kim Curtin’s men will be excited to make a return to home soil here. Last seen in front of their own supporters storming to a stellar 4-1 romp against Inter Miami, the Union have now won each of their last four straight domestic contests at Subaru Park by an aggregate score of 11-1. Really gaining a reputation for their free-scoring performances in the final third, Philadelphia are also unbeaten in each of their previous 11 matchups on home soil – a run that stems all the way back to March 25th. Cruising their way to a play-off ticket in the Eastern Conference, Curtin’s squad will be looking to make another statement here. While New York might have been last seen snatching another single point against Columbus, the Pigeons are facing an uphill battle in their bid to claim a top-nine finish in 2023. in fact, Nick Cushing’s men have remarkably recorded just one win from any of their last 15 straight domestic showdowns. Hit with a 3-1 drumming when they welcomed Philadelphia to the Yankee Stadium back on May 27th, the Blues have also lost each of their last four straight meetings against Sunday’s hosts.

Tip: Philadelphia Union win @ 19/20

01:30 Chicago Fire vs Toronto

While Chicago might have opened the 2023 campaign tipped as a real underdog pick to claim a play-off ticket this season, Sunday’s hosts are enjoying what has been a major purple patch. Once again impressing earlier in the week as they claimed a thumping 3-0 romp at home against Montreal, interim boss Frank Klopas has seen his temporary squad gain plenty of plaudits. Making a host of improvements since returning from June’s international break, the Fire will certainly be smelling the chance to make another statement this weekend. With their eye-catching flurry highlighted by a 1-0 win away at Sporting Kansas last month, Chicago have won four of their last five MLS appearances. Skyrocketing up the Eastern Conference standings, it should also be noted that Sunday’s hosts have secured back-to-back victories at Solider Field. On the flip side, only continuing on what has been another MLS nightmare this season, Toronto have once again come under a huge amount of scrutiny. Last seen getting hit with a 1-0 loss at home against St. Louis, the Reds have now lost each of their last five appearances by an aggregate score of 11-1. It should also be noted the one-time MLS champions have mustered just a sole win from any of their previous 14 straight showdowns – a run that stems all the way back to April 29th. Suffering a 2-0 defeat when they travelled to Solider Field last season, we are expecting a similar outcome here.

Tip: Chicago Fire win & Under 3.5 goals @ 13/8
