Juventus to bid for Gallas

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri is ready to make a January bid for former Arsenal captain William Gallas.

Sources close to the Juventus coach have told the People that Ranieri is keen to bring the Frenchman to Italy.

Ranieri was the manager who brought the France international to the Premier League when he was boss at Chelsea.

Even though Gunners boss Arsene Wenger claims they are not interested in selling Gallas in January, it is believed he is ready if the right bid arrives.

Gallas would be happy to move to Italy after being axed as skipper at the Emirates following his attack on team-mates.
