According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has re-emerged as a possible target for Italian champions Juventus. The runaway leaders are preparing themselves for the sale of Medhi Benatia before the January transfer window closes, with Christensen being viewed as a very viable replacement. He hasn’t really been able to get as much game time as many fans were expecting under Maurizio Sarri, with just 12 appearances under his belt this season. Only one has come in the Premier League, and at the age of 22, it certainly seems like he should be playing first team football much more regularly.
Christensen has been with Chelsea since way back in 2012 and yet, he made more appearances for Borussia Monchengladbach during his loan spell there than he has done during his entire tenure at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will be back in action on Sunday against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup.
