Klose wants England move

Lazio striker Miroslav Klose has reportedly set his sights on moving to English Premier League, according to Bild.

The German forward’s contract at Stadio Olimpico is due to expire at the end of the current campaign and everything suggests he will not be signing a new deal.

Klose yesterday revealed that he had offers from the MLS and former club Kaiserslautern, but Bild has learned that the player actually wants to continue his career in England.

Having seen international teammates Per Mertesacker, Lukas Podolski, Andre Schurrle and Mesut Ozil move to English Premier League, the 35-year-old is eager to follow in their footsteps next summer.

Even with Klose nearing the end of his playing career, there should be at least several Premier League clubs willing to take a gamble with the Germany international.

The veteran striker is still regarded as a first team regular in the national team and bar any injuries he will be representing die Mannschaft at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
