Looking to continue on what is becoming a stellar start to the new MLS campaign, a high-flying LA Galaxy will travel to the Red Bull Arena on Saturday night.

Starting with the hosts, while the Red Bull’s may have managed to clinch the Eastern Conference last season, it has been a very worrying start for New York. Just managing to scrape a 1-0 win against fellow strugglers and latest MLS franchise Cincinnati last weekend, under pressure boss Chris Armas has seen his side record just two victories in their opening nine matchups. With only their goal difference keeps them off slipping to the foot of the table, it is also worth noting that the hosts have now lost two of their last three matchups at the Red Bull Arena.

As for the visitors, coming off the back of a 2-1 win at home to Real Salt Lake last weekend, few would have expected LA Galaxy’s start to the year. With the chance to leapfrog LAFC to top spot in the West, former Boca Juniors boss Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s is watching his side enjoy a seven-match unbeaten run and the Whites have won six of those contests. Losing just one of their opening nine MLS matchups so far this season, one man to watch on Saturday will be leading goalscorer, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Already bagging eight goals in just seven appearances this year, the former Manchester United striker sits second in the MLS’ overall goalscoring charts.
