Looking to extend their buffer at the top of the Western Conference, Los Angeles FC will travel to a struggling FC Dallas in the early hours of Monday morning.

Starting with the hosts, after suffering a 2-0 loss when they made the trip to LAFC last weekend, it is quickly becoming a worrying run of form for FC Dallas. On the verge of slipping out of the play-off places in the Western Conference, Luchi Gonzalez’s men have now lost their last three matches on the bounce and fans around the Toyota Stadium will be growing more concerned by the Reds’ recent defensive issues. Monday’s hosts have conceded two or more goals in each of their previous three defeats and have managed to record just a single clean sheet in any of their last 10 appearances. Given Dallas’ struggles in Los Angeles last week, Monday could prove to be another tough test for Gonzalez’s men.

As for the visitors, while Dallas might be enduring a worrying run of form, the same cannot be said for a high-flying Los Angeles FC side. Picking up a 2-0 win over their hosts last weekend, former USA boss Bob Bradley has seen his side lose just one of their opening 13 MLS matches this year and they now hold a four-point buffer at the top of the Western Conference. Now enjoying a five-match unbeaten run, a huge part of LAFC’s early season success has come down to their form in the final third. Already bagging 31 goals this year, no team in either Conference holds a better-attacking record.
