Lazio rule out Cisse sale

Lazio boss Edy Reja has moved to deny reports that striker Djibril Cisse will be sold in January.

The French striker has had a difficult start to his career at Olimpico and is no longer considered a regular in Edy Reja’s side.

He has been linked with a loan move to former club Auxerre, but Edy Reja is adamant Cisse will stay.

“Cisse is not available for transfer,” Edy Reja told reporters after Lazio’s goalless draw with Chievo.

“We won’t be carrying out any kind of transfer operations in that area of the side.”

Cisse scored for Lazio on his Serie A debut against Milan, but has failed to find the net ever since.
