Liverpool unconcerned with rumours of Bayern interest in Robertson

Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing Andy Robertson from Liverpool to replace Real Madrid-bound Alphonso Davies. However, according to Football Insider, the Merseysiders are completely unconcerned with the notion and are preparing an offer of a new contract for the Scotland captain. They’re set to hold talks over that during the summer, once they’ve appointed a new manager and a sporting director.

Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull City back in 2017 for no more than £8 million, and the transfer has rightly been called a bargain given what he has achieved at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp. In 283 matches across all competitions, he has scored nine goals and contributed 64 assists, helping the team win the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, the Premier League, the FA Cup and two League Cups, along with one Community Shield.

Robertson’s current contract runs until the summer of 2026, so there’s no real reason to rush with a new one, but the club obviously feel the 29-year-old has earned a reward for his past efforts.
