Orlando Pirates boss Julio Leal said he feels he can handle the pressure, following their 4-3 Premier Soccer League win over Platinum Stars.

Leal admitted Pirates were not at their best against the Stars on Wednesday, but pointed out that their ability to fight hard them a dangerous outfit ahead of their CAF Champions League match against Angolan champions Recreativo do Libolo next month.

“I do not feel pressure,” Leal told reporters.

“My job is to coach the players and if there is any pressure, the one thing I do is to use it to our advantage.”

“This victory shows that we are working very hard and doing well despite the big challenge we face in terms of the number of games that we are playing within a very short time.”

The Brazilian coach praised his team for winning the match after early setbacks.

“The players showed a lot of character. Luis (Boa Morte) played as a midfielder and this is not a position that he is used to, but I am very happy with his performance,” Leal said.

“We have depth in our team and we have shown this by winning.”
