Joe Ledley says everyone at Crystal Palace is pulling in the same direction in a bid to stave off relegation from the Premier League.
Palace began the season as one of the favourites for the drop, and one win in the first 11 Premier League matches appeared to back those claims.
Yet, under the stewardship of Tony Pulis – who took over as manager in November – Palace have exited the relegation zone and currently sit 17th, three points above the drop zone.
Palace are winless in their last four Premier League matches, however, and the threat of relegation still looms large at Selhurst Park.
But midfielder Ledley, who joined Palace in January, says Pulis is “determined” to beat the drop, and has galvanised the whole squad.
“It’s a fantastic record he’s got, and since he’s been here he’s done magnificently,” Ledley is quoted as saying by The Croydon Advertiser.
“He’s got us working hard as a unit and as a team. We work with him every day and you can see he’s very determined to keep us up – and so are we.
“We all work hard for each other and that’s what you need. You need that dedication and hopefully we can fight right until the end.”
